Note: Stipend-supported internship hours are currently available at our San Antonio location at 4045 E Southcross Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78222. Our business hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, 7 days a week.
Part of the certification process for Supplemental certifications (Mental Health Peer Specialists and Recovery Support Peer Specialists) is the completion of 250 hours of volunteer or paid work experience specific to MHPS or RSPS.
These hours must be completed under the supervision of a Peer Specialist Supervisor.
Before applying to Unity Recovery for the Peer Internship program, you need to have completed your initial application for RSPS or MHPS certification with the Texas Certification Board (TCB) and must have received an approval email from them approving you to begin your supervised 250 work experience hours.
